House of Couture Designs

About Us
Skye Douglass, The Owner
She/Her

Skye has spent the last 36 years in the bridal industry and she's enjoyed every moment of it. Skye started at the age of 17 working at a small store in western Pennsylvania and was managing 3 stores by the age of 19. At 25 she went off on her own opening her first store and the next store at 28. During this time Skye married and had her daughter but at the age of 34 unfortunately lost everything in a divorce. During this time she had many different career paths which made her stronger but she was still styling and altering brides. In 2010 she started a full time alterations business and worked hard to achieve her dream.
In 2017 House of Couture Designs was born. It started as a small side street store in Sewickley and in 2018 the business moved and grew to a store front on the main street of Sewickley. With everyone's help, Skye took the leap and moved to a 4000 square foot store in McCandless Crossings in 2022.
"I pride myself on making everyone feel comfortable and at ease in our luxury store. Every person needs to feel beautiful and special. So I welcome you to the House of Couture Designs." - Skye
